Iris Giclée print by Elaine Geisinger

Elaine Geisinger is a native New Yorker, who after graduation from Brooklyn College, went on to study art at the New School, the Art Students League and at the Santa Monica School of Design in California.

She has exhibited and won many awards for her work in various prestigious shows from New York to California. Her work can be seen in public collections such as: The Brooklyn Museum, The Beverly Hills Library, The Calhoun School, The Sands Point Temple, Brandeis University, Xerox Corp. – to name a few – as well as in many well-known private collections.

The work shown here, Nathan's of Coney Island, is an Iris Giclée print, inspired by a 4' x 5' painted bronze bas-relief she was commissioned to do for the New York office of Nathan's Corporation.

Her work, while emotionally charged, is noted for its humor, its love and understanding of the human condition … mainly that of women's place in the world.
