Iris Giclée print by Josephine Geigle
My life began on December 14, 1914 in Osceola
Mills, PA. While growing up on a beautiful farm in Whiglane, NJ,
I was surrounded by nature and I developed a love for art and
the need to paint it.
The passion grew as I grew older and my paintings were lovingly
given to family and friends. My formal training began at age 69
at Bob's Hobby and Craft Shop in Pitman, NJ and continued with
a retired art teacher from Rowan University in Glassboro, NJ.
My enthusiasm came from within with the help of a deep appreciation
for God's gifts.
At 85, I'm still enjoying painting the flowers and vegetables
from my garden in Audubon, NJ.
"Artists are unique and love their work.
Everyone should be so fortunate as to spend their days
in doing what makes them happy.
Take time to paint the flowers!"
