Anita Woods has lived in Florida for thirty-five years, during which time she has developed a strong alliance with the heart of Florida.
Surrounded as she is by the lush, tropical landscape, she fills her paintings with sunlight. "You can actually feel the warmth" is the comment heard often by people viewing her work.
Quote: "I am drawn to the subtle, non-symmetrical balance of the native foliage, and the value-based harmony nature has endowed on all plant life. Palms of all varieties are probably my favorite subject, but I also love to paint sea grapes, and bananas with their exotic blossoms. I am always looking for a peek into a corner of nature that I may have missed."
