Artist Statement

My inspiration is to always bring out the good.  God is at the center of my universe so if someone can be blessed by my gift or if I can inspire another person to live more fully for God, I'll have accomplished my goal.

Someone once told me to paint what I see; but I also feel the need to paint what I am most passionate about which reflects in my subjects whether it is horses (of which we have many), children (my grandchildren are very important to me), flowers (I love flowers and have many different varieties), or landscapes.  I am not complete without many different scenes just waiting to be finished.

In addition to this website, Marlene's artwork can be found at D'Vine Gallery and Gifts  in Shipshewana, IN www.dvinegallerygardenandgift.com  where she also demonstrates her style, and Shipshewana Pottery, 505 E. North Village Drive, Shipshewana, IN 46565.

ABOUT IRIS GICLÉE PRINTS
The creation of an Iris Giclée print is a truly remarkable feat, resulting in a print unlike any other in the fine art market. Painstakingly produced one by one on actual watercolor paper, the digital color mix process, which occurs inside each pixel, is made possible by spraying 4 million droplets of ink per second, droplets the size of a blood corpuscle. The resulting images, virtually indistinguishable from the original, represent art reproduction of the highest quality.
