Iris Giclée print by Stephen Leed
Stephen Leed, a native of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, is a full-time artist, working mostly in oils. Over the past two decades, he has won respect and recognition for his wildlife art, garnering an impressive list of awards and honors from area-wide shows and exhibits. Stephen's work has also appeared on the covers of wildlife magazines, and his art was chosen to illustrate articles for two hunting and bird publications.
Stephen's philosophy: "Wildlife art is one of the oldest forms of expression known to man...I strive, above all, to create subjects that truly look alive, like they would blink an eye, like they breathe and have a heart beating in them. All art that can really be considered art is more than decoration. It is an imitation, an expression, even a manifestation -- of life."
