About the artist Bernie Hubert grew up in the New York area, and was influenced by the Giant, Dodger and Yankee baseball teams of the 1950s and 1960s. He writes about those golden days of summer: "The intensity of those rivalries goes far beyond the sport of it. The sights, sounds, colors and smells emitting from their grand stadiums paint an indelible image of nostalgia, romance and art."
