Iris Giclée print by Kristi DeMarr
Kristi DeMarr, self-taught artist, is also a wife and mother of two children. Artwork has always been her chosen path, but only recently has she found the time to follow that path.
With a young family, she quit her full-time job to raise her children and set her artistic goals. She is driven by faith, the beauty of the human figure and the infinite possibilities of the spirit, and hopes to relay those feelings in her paintings.
She is currently busy with commissioned portraits, and in the last three years, has shown her work locally, regionally, and internationally. This print, "Festival on the Mississippi", is reproduced from the original acrylic on canvas. It was inspired by the annual 'Bix' Jazz Festival held in summer along the scenic Mississippi River at Leclaire Park in Davenport, Iowa.
